Hotel Raphael (Largo Febo 2, Rome) - A matter of meters from Piazza Navona, the Hotel Raphael is ideal for people who desire / require an excellent location in Rome especially over a short period or a weekend away which. We've always found the reception and restaurant waiting staff to be very efficient, helpful and courteus. The restaurant is excellent with a regularly changing menu - the chef does a mean berry parfait. The roof-top terrace is an excellent place for a cup of coffee, lunch or dinner and enjoying the views it command over the Roman rooftops which to St Peters, the Pantheon and Vittoriano.
Borgo Pio Apartments (Piazza delle Vaschette 13, Rome) - The Borgo Pio Apartments are fantastically located equidistantly between Basilica San Pietro and the Castel Sant'Angello and the historical centre is a short walk across Pont Sant'Angello. The apartments are spacious - the larger apartments will sleep 6 with ease - and comfortable. During the summer months, they're also quite cool which is a real bonus during the mid-afternoon sun. There's a supermarket right on the next street along - a few minutes walk away and a take-out pizza place downstairs, which is nice.
