Rapperswil - getting there by Mark Sukhija

By train

The S-Bahn trains to Rapperswil regularly depart from Zürich train station. Both the S5 and S7 depart from platforms 23/24 which is downstairs in the shopping area.

Regular trains, including the Voralpen Express scenic train, arrive from Lucerne and St Gallen.

Rapperswil is a junction point at one end of the Seedamm at the eastern end of Lake Zürich. Trains run between Rapperswil and Pfaeffikon (SZ).

By boat

During the summer months, boats depart from Bürkliplatz in Zürich . The Zürichsee Schifffahrtsgesellschaft (ZSG) publishes a time table of the ships both to and from Rapperswil
