Recently renovated, restored and all-round regenerated, Antwerp Centraal Station is an impressive feat.
The restoration has been very sympathetic - with all the original bits having been kept and the modern section being built underground. Riding up from the underground platforms is an exhilirating experience as the old original façade opens up in front of you. At the beginning you can't see any of the original features - but rising slowly from the depths there it is, in all is gorgeous splendour.
