This picture of the Roman skyline was taken from the rooftop terrace of Hotel Raphael near the ever popular Piazza Navona.
With a generally low skyline and monuments aplenty, getting a good rooftop terrace afford excellent views - this one shows the Vaticans St Peters Basilica in the background.
Had I turned volte face for this picture, I have taken the roof tops accross Piazza Navona, seen the Vittoriano monument and event the amazing roof of the Pantheon - all of which are iconic Roman attractions.
