Grossmünster is now situated above the Limmatquai - and artificial street which was built up above where the Limmat used to run, making the river less wide.
Now many of the Zunft (or Guilds) have their Guildhouses along Limmatquai - behind which the Niederdorf district runs. Many of th Zunft (such as the Zunft zur Zimmerleuten pictured) also have restaurants where non-members can dine.
Of course, Limmatquai itself is now a major transport link with trams running along it.
