During the Travel Blogger Elevator conference in Genoa we spent an evening in the Boccadasse district of town. Boccadasse is where mariners used to live and, apparently, the houses are all different colours to make it easy for the sailors to identify their own homes from their ships. The Boccadasse itself is small and popular with Genoans for a day out close to the sea - and it's not difficult to see why with the colourful historic buildings and gelato on the seaside.
